How does it work?
Weeks 1-2: Design a compelling brand for your small business
You need a brand that represents your story and resonates with your target audience. We’ll create a logo, color palettes, fonts and branding guide, as well as marketing pieces such as business cards and letterhead.
Week 3: Write website copy for your small business
When it comes time to design your website, and I ask for your content, and you say “what content?”, then you need this! Together we’ll narrow down your target audience, and write each page of your website.
Weeks 4-5: Squarespace web design for your small business
I design only in Squarespace, and believe it’s one of the top web hosting platforms available. Now that we have your brand and copy, we’ll put it into a gorgeous website that tells your story.
Week 6: Customized marketing plan for your small business
With a strong foundation to work from, we’ll choose two marketing strategies. We’ll create templates in Canva, a one-month marketing guide and a lead generating PDF.

Yes, Squarespace is the only web hosting platform I use. I have found it to be comprehensive, up-to-date, and easy to use for my clients. If you don't want to use Squarespace, I’m happy to recommend other designers who fit what you need.
+ Does the Website Package include my domain and Squarespace web hosting costs as well?
Yes and no. Yes, if you do not already have a domain name, Squarespace will provide you with a free one when you sign up. No, the Squarespace monthly web hosting cost is not included in my package. But for what you receive, they're very affordable. You can find their monthly pricing at www.squarespace.com/pricing. Bonus: I am an authorized Squarespace Circle Member, and will get you 20% off your first year when you work with me.
+ Do you provide the photos for my website as well?
No, I do not provide photos for my clients. When you book a time slot with me for your website, you will receive a Welcome Package. In this PDF document I provide you with lots of tips to help you gather or take photos. I do not start projects until my client has provided ALL photos.
+ Do you design additional marketing pieces?
Yes, but my primary focus is branding and web design. If you have a different design need other than what is included in the packages, please feel free to reach out and we can chat further.
+ What if I need more than a 6-page site?
No problem! Let me know your specific needs, and we can change the package for additional cost.
+ Is six weeks really doable to get all that done?
Yes! I’ve found that design projects tend to drag on for many weeks and months. To avoid this, I provide firm start and end dates for my clients so there are clear expectations. I offer unlimited changes and direct access to me during the design period. If my clients provide all content before the design start date, it allows a quicker process. I take on a limited amount of clients to make this possible.
+ What is GDPR and what do I need to do to comply?
If you take any personal information on your website from viewers in the European Union, you need to comply with GDPR. This means three things. You need to have a "cookies" warning on your homepage that visitors click “accept” (included for free in your website package). And you need a Terms and Conditions page, as well as a Privacy Policy page. These two pages generally go in the footer of your website. I'm happy to provide websites you can obtain generic versions. If you are a creative, I can also provide a discount for the "Creative Law Shop" to purchase contracts for your business.
+ What if I need an extensive website with all custom coding?
I may not be the right fit for you. I am a website designer, not a website developer. Website designers create the look, feel and layout of your website. Website developers build the backbone and functionality of a site using custom code. Although I do use some custom code on your Squarespace page, it is not extensive.
+ What happens after you’ve finished designing my site, and I need to edit things?
That is the beauty of Squarespace. It is very user friendly, and making edits is easy to do, even for a non designer. In our final training call, I will show you the basics, so you feel set and ready to go. Squarespace also has a library of articles and videos and amazing customer support. If you need a lot of edits in the future and don't want to make them yourself, you can hire me at my hourly rate of $50/hour.
+ If Squarespace is so easy to use, couldn’t I build my website myself?
Yes, you could, but here is what you'd be missing out on:
Time: Although user friendly, there is still a learning curve to any new program. I can build a Squarespace site for your small business in less than half the time it may take you to learn and build it yourself.
Expert Design: I know the tips and tricks, including custom code to add to your Squarespace site. I'll take a generic design and add your brand's look, feel and flare.
